Depending on the problem, you will need to spend between one to three weeks in Greece.

Preoperative exams will be done fast, without any delay.

According to international medical protocols, you will get discharged from the hospital a day or two after the day of the procedure. Afterwards, you will need one to two weeks for rehabilitation therapy before traveling home.

Hip replacement

A Total Hip Replacement (THR) – also called Hip Arthroplasty – is a surgical procedure that is necessary when cartilage is severely damaged, smooth surface is lost and the bone is left exposed. Patient suffers from extremely intense pain and discomfort which limits the range of motion.
Osteoarthritis of the hip is the most common diagnosis that leads to hip replacement. It affects the cartilage surfaces of the ball-and-socket joint of the hip resulting pain and stiffness. Patients with hip arthritis have difficulty walking, climbing stairs and performing routine daily activities.

In Hip Replacement surgery femoral head and the socket are replaced with a prostheses. Surgeon selects a model, materials and size of the implant according to each individual case. AMIS technique can also be performed.
Med Elite makes sure that the procedure will be done by a field expert and by using top quality materials and implants.

After surgery, rehabilitation may follow to regain strength, ability to walk and take on regular activities.

Knee replacement

Full or Partial Knee replacement (Knee Arthroplasty) is an orthopaedic surgical procedure to replace a damaged knee (arthritis or injury) with a prostheses (an artificial joint).

The most common cause of chronic knee pain and disability is arthritis. Osteoarthritis, rheumatoid arthritis, and traumatic arthritis are the most common forms. Knee replacement surgery can replace all or part of the knee depending on the affected area.

Med Elite makes sure that the procedure will be done by a field expert and by using top quality materials and implants.
After surgery, rehabilitation may follow to regain strength, ability to walk and take on regular activities.

Meniscus repair / Meniscectomy

Meniscus is usually damaged in sports when the knee is twisted while knee joint is bent or when you stop abruptly while running. Meniscus is repaired arhroscopically as such surgery has very high success rate and fewer risks of complications.

Usually, there is no need for an overnight staying in the clinic and the patient is getting discharged from the hospital the same day (ODC).
